Symptoms of Hormonal Imbalance
Recognizing Hormonal Imbalances
Common symptoms include:
- Insomnia and night sweats
- Weight gain
- Low libido and vaginal dryness
- Mental fogginess
- Hair loss
- Low energy
- Mood swings
Dr. Berutti and Melanie Martin, PA, have extensive training in BHRT and understand the importance of testing all of your hormones. They understand that your hormones work together like a symphony to keep your body functioning at its best.
Key BHRT Ingredients for Women
Estrogen
This chemical is not just found in your reproductive system. Estrogen works in your muscles, skin, bones, organs, and vascular system to perform 400 important functions every day. Menopause can cause estrogen levels to drop, which can bring about symptoms that interfere with daily life. BHRT can:
- Improve cholesterol levels
- Improve skin texture and wrinkle prevention
- Increase libido
- Prevent and/or treat osteoporosis
- Prevent Alzheimer’s disease
- Protect against macular degeneration (blindness)
Progesterone
As with estrogen, keeping your progesterone levels balanced is critical to living a healthy, balanced life. When your progesterone is low, you can experience changes in your menstrual cycle, including an increase in premenstrual syndrome (PMS). You may also find that you experience more migraines, anxiety, and depression. BHRT can help you with:
- Alleviating insomnia
- Eliminating migraines
- Improving libido
- Reducing anxiety/depression
- Reducing inflammation
- Decreasing joint pain
It is crucial to have a balance of all your hormones to achieve a life of full-body wellness. At Dynamic Life Health Center, we always work to help you achieve this balance and feel like yourself again.

There are different delivery methods, such as pills, pellets, creams, patches, triturates, and injections. BHRT requires a prescription, and pharmacies that specialize in compounding can customize your therapy to meet your unique needs. Your provider will discuss options that best suit your individual needs and goals.
Delivery Methods
Navigating Your BHRT
At Dynamic Life Health Center, we offer a range of delivery methods that will give you the hormones you need. You can receive BHRT through pellets, injections or creams, pills, triturates, or patches. Because a prescription is required for women’s BHRT in Southlake, we partner with pharmacies to compound your treatment.
Hormone Pellets
Melanie Martin, PA, can administer hormone pellets to help you manage the natural symptoms of aging. We meticulously calculate each dose so patients can receive the amount of estrogen or testosterone that’s right for their bodies.
When you arrive for your treatment, we will ensure that you are comfortable by numbing your skin. After that, we will make a small incision and place your hormone pellet 5mm deep into your gluteal area. The pellet will give your body the hormones it needs over time, lasting about 3 months.
Understanding BHRT
The “B” in BHRT stands for bioidentical. Bioidentical hormones are chemically identical to the hormones your body naturally produces, allowing for a more seamless integration into your body.
