What to Expect

Becoming A New Patient

At Dynamic Life Health Center, we prioritize personalized care to ensure you have a smooth, empowered healthcare experience from start to finish. As a new patient, your journey begins by contacting our New Patient Coordinator, who will guide you through the scheduling process, fees and deposit and schedule your first two appointments.

Before your appointment, you will need to complete health questionnaires via our patient portal called Cerbo, providing vital information about your health history, medications, and supplements. Please complete these questionnaires, upload any recent test results and a copy of your medical insurance card no later than 24 hours before your appointment with your functional medicine doctor in Southlake.

Your First Appointment

When you arrive, please have your driver’s license or photo ID ready, as well as the bottles of all the medications and supplements that you are currently taking. Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so within 72 hours of your scheduled appointment. Failure to cancel your appointment within 72 hours, may result in a loss of your deposit.

Your appointment usually lasts around 75 minutes. This allows us time to review your health history, determine the appropriate tests to be ordered and customize your treatment plan.

Preparing for Your Second Appointment

After your first visit, we order your diagnostic testing. You should schedule this appointment as soon as possible after your first appointment at DLHC. Specialized testing should be performed 3 weeks before your follow-up appointment and serum (blood) testing should be performed 2 weeks before your follow-up appointment. We do not draw labs at our office, but we partner with companies such as LabCorp and Quest to offer serum (blood) testing.

If you have medical health insurance, we can bill serum labs to your insurance company. If you have a high-deductible plan or no insurance, we offer significantly discounted cash pricing through LabCorp.

Hormone Saiva testing is done every 3 months for the first year. Saliva testing is an out-of-pocket expense and not covered by insurance.

Your Second Appointment

We will review your test results, build a personalized treatment plan, and discuss future appointments. We aim to get to the root of your health concerns, offering ongoing support with regular visits and testing to ensure your health continues to improve.

Follow-Up Appointments

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy appointments average about every 3 months for the first year but can be more frequent depending on the complexity of your health concerns and specific treatment.

What are my payment options?

We require all patients to have a credit card on file. However, you can also take advantage of your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

Do you take insurance?

No, we are an out-of-network provider. Here’s why:

To get to the root cause of many health conditions and provide the best quality treatment, we need more time with our patients and more treatment options than insurance companies will allow.

If you have a PPO plan, your insurance company may reimburse you for part of your office visit costs, depending on your out-of-network benefits and deductible. We require payment at the time of the appointment, and we will provide you with the necessary paperwork to file for reimbursement with your insurance provider.

If you are on an HMO plan, your insurance will not cover any of the cost of your office visits.
